Shri Saraswati Bhuvan Education Society believes in Vision “Tamso Ma Jyotirgmaya” meaning eliminating the darkness, and Ignorance from the lives of people living in age-long poverty, backwardness and helps them to step ahead towards knowledge, education for all round development to became an ideal citizen of India.

The society was established in 1915 in adverse circumstances by a group of dedicated and zealous, nonpolitical eminent personalities. This was the first education society in those days which was imparting education in Marathi medium. The institution during the ensuing period throve purely on goodwill and affection of the people. Adv. Panditrao Pargaonkar, Adv. Digambardasji Chaudhari, Adv. Tukaram Pant were among the founder members. The education society is leaded by eminent dedicated management authorities. To name a few Bhausaheb Vaishampayan, Padmavibhushan Govindbhai Shroff, Bhujangrao Kulkarni, Dr. Bapusaheb Kaldate, Prof. Dinkarrao Borikar and presently Barrister J.M. Gandhi, Adv. Dinesh Vakil Gangapurwala.

From the establishment of the society following eminent personalities visited campus Hon. President of India, Dr. Shankardayal Sharma, Mr. R. Venkatraman, Prime Minister, Mr. P.V. Narsimha Rao; Hon. Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs. Sumitra Mahajan, Chief Ministers Shankarrao Chavan, Sharad Pawar, Sudhakarrao Naik, Vilasrao Deshmukh and Devendra Phadnavis.

The period 2015-17 was celebrated as centenary era. Following dignitaries visited the education society The Chief Minister Maharashtra Hon. Devendra Phadanavis, The Loksabha Speaker Hon. Sumitra Mahajan, Hon. Kiran Bedi.

Today, the S.B. Education Society stands tall with its glorious rustle of a lofty expanse that places it as one of the oldest and the most reputed educational institutes in Maharashtra. The S.B. Education Society has been recognized by the Government of Maharashtra as an Excellent Education Society. Saraswati Bhuvan Education Society is the first recipient of this award when it was commenced by Government of Maharashtra.

Saraswati Bhuvan Education Society has flourished into prestigious institution having 19 schools and 2 colleges educating more than 25,000 students imparting education from the pre-primary to Ph.D. degree in different academic disciplines.

Chief Minister of Maharashtra Hon. Devendra Phadnavis has declared special financial assistance of Rs. 5 Cr. Considering the academic excellence and contribution in the society.
